Key Personnel

Bill Robertson, General Manager

Bill Robertson

Throughout his career, Mr. Robertson has held various positions in both television operations and manufacturing, starting in various post production, cable and MMDS operations during college. Through the early 90s Mr. Robertson held positions of increasing responsibility in the Dynatech Video Group, notably Vice-president of Engineering for the Cable Products Group and Vice-president of Division MarComm. After leaving Dynatech he worked as Vice-president of Engineering for StarNet Development designing MPEG based video servers and commercial inserters.

In 1996 he co-founded FrontLine Communications to develop products for the emerging EAS requirements in cable television. The company eventually became Vela Broadcast/System Division where Mr. Robertson held the title of President until leaving in 2002. At that time Mr. Robertson, joined Acterna (the parent of da Vinci Systems) as the VP Global Marketing, a role that shortly thereafter expanded to include International Sales. In 2004, Mr. Robertson was asked to take the helm of da Vinci Systems where he currently serves as Vice-President and General Manager.

Mr. Robertson holds a BSEE from the University of Utah and is a sustaining member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). In addition he has given a number of presentations to a host of SCTE, Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) chapters and events.

Peter Glassberg, Vice-President of Worldwide Sales and Service

Peter Glassberg

Peter Glassberg is an industry veteran, being involved in the broadcast and post-production industry for over 25 years. He began his career as a field engineer for the Professional Products Division of CBS laboratories and was promoted to Customer Service Manager there. Changing his focus to sales, Peter moved on to Quanta Corporation, a member of the Dynatech video group. He held key management positions within Quanta, eventually being promoted to Zone Manager for the eight video companies comprising Dynatech Video Group, one of which was da Vinci and where Peter later focused his efforts as Regional Sales Manager.

For the past eight years, Peter has been the vice president of Worldwide Sales and Service for da Vinci Systems. He is passionate about customer service, believing that it is the key component of partnership between customer, manufacturer, and repeat sales.

Peter Glassberg is a graduate of Sylvania Institute of Technology and an affiliate of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

David Johnson, Vice-President of Engineering

David Johnson

David Johnson is responsible for da Vinci System's worldwide product development. David has over 20 years of engineering management experience and has had an excellent track record for strategically planning and pioneering new technologies. He has prior industry related experience in the development of color film analyzers, additive lamp-houses, film printing controllers, and film processing systems.

Prior to joining da Vinci, David served as director of customer solutions and chief solutions architect at Itronix Corporation in Spokane, Wash., where he was responsible for helping the company establish worldwide market share leadership and planning technologies for future product. During his seven years with Itronix, he also held high-level positions in product and technology planning.

David is a graduate of Kansas State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.

Mike Rhine, Vice President of Finance and Operations

Mike Rhine

Mike joined da Vinci in 2005 and is responsible for da Vinci's finance, operations and IT organizations. Prior to joining da Vinci, Mike worked for Acterna, the world's second largest provider of communications test solutions for telecommunications and cable network operators. Mike held various positions in Acterna's corporate finance organization, starting in 2000 as director of corporate finance and investor relations, and more recently as corporate treasurer, where he was responsible for cash, debt, and banking operations; risk management; and the maintenance of strong creditor and shareholder relationships. Prior to joining Acterna, Mike worked for IBM and International Paper in a variety of finance roles.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BS in Finance and Management Information Systems and holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
